長編ドキュメンタリー完成。「The First Step」

今やauやマクドナルドのCMでもお馴染みのガールズバンド、the Suzan。そんな彼女達が世界中で前進して行くさまを一年以上かけて監督や素敵な仲間と撮影してきました。その予告編が出来たので見てみて下さい。

余談ですが、2012年始の写真を見てもらうとわかるのですが、新年のパーティーで抱負を書初めで書きました。正直、今年一杯じゃ無理だと思っていたけど「長編」映画を撮るというあまり現実的でない目標を書きました。結果、思い描いていたようなフィクションの長編映画を撮ることは出来ませんでしたが、振り返ってみると、ドキュメンタリーという思いもよらない形で「長編」映画を2012年が終わる前までに作り終えていました。長編は長編。ある意味、抱負は叶った。

今年も頑張ろう。

This is the new trailer for the feature length documentary on the internationally recognized Japanese girls band, the Suzan. I shot and edited it over a year with the director Mike and the awesome team. Stay tuned. 
BTW, Check out my photo with the calligraphy in the beginning of January 2012. I wrote "長編", which means a feature film. Honestly I didn't believe that I was able to write and direct a fiction feature in a year. And I couldn't. But when I look back the year 2012, I ended up making a feature documentary film. I wasn't thinking about a documentary, but a feature is a feature. My resolution came true in a way. I'm ready for 2013.
